so i've been absent from my dear blog for almost ten days now. why the gap? i've been really pre-occupied with school, extracurriculars, all that good old stuff. i haven't even had time to watch the Winter Olympics, which is a total bummer because i missed out on all of the gold-metal, insane-skill action.
people in this day and age are just too busy. our lives are too crowded, too filled with distractions and tasks, our agendas jammed pack with nonsense and junk. for me, it seems like once i complete one task, i have to immediately take up another task, since i have a multitude waiting on the "to be finished" list. it's like a never-ending stream of things to do.
i like to say, though, that my being busy is the reason i haven't been thinking about God as much as i should be lately. but i'm not completely sure if that's the root of this problem. i suspect that the real problem lies deeper: that i'm too lazy to spend more time thinking about my religion or that i'm more focused on enjoying myself. whatever the cause is, i've got to work this problem out.
